I ordered a snowboard helmet online from Darkside Snowboards. After placing my order, I received an email stating that due to an error, they did not have the helmet I ordered in stock. The email apologized for the inconvenience and said they would offer me a discount on a different helmet. I spoke to Tucker, the GM, who was helfpful and apologetic. I ordered a different helmet and received it within a couple of days.

I love in Maryland but have been going to Darkside for all my gear since I first found out about them 4 years ago. These guys know their gear and always have the inside track on the latest and greatest. If the darkside guys read this, thank you for all your help. I have never had customer service this great.
Companies make mistakes. It's how they respond to them that separates the best from the rest. Darkside Snowboards did a great job handling the issue proactively and fairly. I would definitely buy from them again.
They do not carry flow bindings (shame on them), but rigged up a non-flow strap for my friend's broken flow bindings strap. I liked the store layout and vibe. And they had a pretty huge selection of bindings and boards.
Hands down the best locally run snowboard shop. Bill and his family/ team have always looked after us and when it comes to customer service these guys set the standard for others to aspire too. I live in the U.K. and still order my boards from them as they always manage to source the best kit.
Nice people working there, but dam, everything is way over priced. Just get your stuff online
